This Wilsonville homeowner had a well-built paver patio and attractive landscaping, but the space lacked shade and definition. They wanted a permanent structure—something sturdy, attractive, and built from natural materials—to create a more comfortable outdoor gathering area while blending smoothly with the home’s architecture.
All Building Construction built a custom cedar pergola sized to match the patio layout and the home’s rear entrance. Structural posts were carefully placed along existing paver edges, then tied together with layered beams and slatted rafters to form a double-bay overhead structure. Cedar was selected for its natural durability and warm finish, and the joinery was reinforced with galvanized carriage bolts for long-term stability. The finished pergola provides filtered shade, a comfortable outdoor zone, and an architectural feature that enhances the yard’s overall design.
