Once approved, Yamhill County issues the actual building permit. The local Amity Silt Loam drains poorly and holds water near the surface. Aquic conditions exist at 10-20 inches depth, meaning seasonal water tables are high. This affects foundation work, crawl space conditions, and site drainage. We plan for proper drainage systems, sump pumps where needed, and foundation protection before breaking ground.
